Professionally, I am member of the California Math Council whose professional development conference I attend annually. I am also a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

I was raised in the Central Valley of California and attended public and parochial schools. I am a graduate of Madera High School. I attended Madera Community College/Fresno City College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Math concentration from California State University, Fresno.  I earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Single Subject Credential in Mathematics.

My experience consists of homeschooling my own children for their first 5 grades, teaching 2 years of Science/Math in after-school programs for elementary school, teaching Junior High for 2 years in multiple subjects, high school, and adults in mathematics for High School graduation.

I have taught High School Mathematics for 13 years: Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. I have taught in an independent study school, regular high school and have experience in working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and a classroom. I have taught for Madera and Fresno Unified School Districts. I have substitute taught in Clovis, Fresno, Chowchilla and Madera.

I have taken and passed the CBEST, CSET for Multiple Subject, and CSET for Mathematics exams.  I have the ability to teach both the core math and skills in multiple choice test taking as well as the Common Core exams.
